I did a little research on the quote that someone taped to my cube wall. This is what I found. It doesn't look good for me. I could burst into flames at any moment.
Reverse graffiti also known as clean tagging, dust tagging or grime writing, is a method of creating graffiti on walls or other surfaces by removing dirt from a surface. http://www.reversegraffitiproject.com
Even though I've met the guy who designed the cover for Beck's latest album (not featured here) I much prefer the covers this other studio came up with. Shhhh.
You want to give Jim's mustache a run for it's money? (And who doesn't?) Well, if you have the iPhone you can! Just download Mustache, the iPhone app that launched this week. Read it's review (along with some fun others) here on Gizmodo & also make sure you check out the applications full capibilties on iTunes (Spoiler alert! When you hold it up to your mouth, the digital mouth calibrates to move with yours!)
This handy clock could be a new companion for Matt's baking tin robot. Meet Kim, the talking clock. When you push her nose, she tells you the time...and her eyes glow red. Use her as an alarm & you'll be waking up to a crowing rooster. Alright!!
"The brief was simple: what would the residence of the most powerful individual in the world, the White House in Washington, D.C., look like if it were designed today?" Read more here.
Introducing the Rovio from WowWee. This is a super cool web cam/gadget...though I can only think of evil things to do with it. Spying...scaring the crap out of someone. It could be really fun! It might be the new nanny cam.
It real function is a new way to stay connected when you can't actually be in the room. It moves in every direction & the camera has several angles to view the room/people/conference/victim (evil laugh here) from. The extra cool thing is that you can talk through it. Check out the videos showing how it works.
A Nokia online campaign, where you read/listen/watch somebody else's life going on via their phones. It feels like a scripted reality show put online. Interesting approach.
This site is currently up on the FWA, done by Fat Man Collective. It's for the UK version of Nokia Maps, a function for all Nokia phones. Look for the hotlinks IN the video. Plus, the silouhetted guy that is walking across the bottom of the screen is your navigation. I like the way the cityscape moves behind him as he walks. Nice attention to detail there.
So, the title of the post comes from the fact that Nokia has these maps preloaded with tons of attractions & places to see. You can also buy city guides for the maps to download to your phone. AND there is the opportunity to have voice & video guidance when you ask for directions. This is also available in the US (though the site is not as cool).
This is kinda cool if you're into art & love to carry it around. There is a new art widget out from Start Mobile. They support a few artists (listed on their website) You can host the widget on your website, blog, social networking page...wherever. PLUS you earn a commission on any art sold through your widget.
Virgin Mobile has also done something cool (well...they've been doing it for a while. Totally not new) with art for your mobile phone. They have a cool site, totally aimed at the MTV generation. the section of their site is called Life also covers music/download ringers, a little entertainment. There's also links to get users involved in helping others (check out ReGeneration & Pass It On)

Happy Friday everyone!! Ale, great job on the presentation!
A few times in the last year ideas have been floated around that involved setting something up in a high-traffic public area. We'd film it, edit it & have a great video for our client to use for TV, on the web, etc.
Here is one such stunt for The Ladders.com, a online recruiter for high level employees. Great reactions from some of these people! Enjoy!
Check out MyDeco, it's a site where you can decorate your room in every possible way. There's even a room builder in 3D where you can customise a room from scratch, decorate as you want it and get an idea of the overall budget for furniture together with a list of retailers where you can buy furniture and accessories. HomeDepot here we come.
This husband and wife team paint what they want and sell the paintings for the asking price of the thing they desire. Check it out. They also do a charity version of their idea.
We have all been working hard this week, so I thought this would be a nice way to end the week. Next time we are all racking our brains to figure how we can again reach out to our consumers in a new way, in a new place, please keep this article in mind.
